Bernold Schroeder leads Kempinski as Group Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Kempinski AG. He is responsible for setting the overall strategy and directing the management of Europe’s pioneering independent luxury hotelier.

Bernold Schroeder is deeply dedicated to the art of carefully crafted guest experiences and firmly committed to Kempinski’s heritage and values. In his pursuit of long-term growth and profitability, he focuses on further enhancing the delivery of Kempinski’s brand promise to guests, property owners, investors and employees.

Mr. Schroeder joined Kempinski in 2017 as Vice Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer Europe, in charge of overseeing a region of critical importance. Driving operational and financial performance, he served in this position until his promotion to his current roles in December 2020.

Since the day Bernold joined Kempinski, he has taken a great interest in BE Health's work and became BE Health's chairman in 2020. He serves BE Health with his three decades of experience and entrepreneurial leadership and is highly dedicated to steering BE Health's growth and consolidation.

Bernold Schroeder received his early hospitality education in Germany and later completed executive programs with Cornell University and Stanford University-National University of Singapore.
