From 22 September until 7 October 2017 is the time of year when the Bavarians proudly announce ‘O’zapft is’.
The Oktoberfest, locally known as the ‘Wiesn’, can look back on a long history starting in 1810. Since then, for two weeks every year, millions of visitors flock to the biggest festival in the world to test the modern, as well as traditional, fun fair rides. Naturally, they also have to sample the art of Bavarian brewery and tasty specialities served in the popular beer tents whilst enjoying traditional live music. The Theresienwiese transforms itself into a unique party strip where guests from near and far can experience Bavarian tradition, cosiness and atmosphere first hand.
Beer is served from:
• Opening day (22 September 2017): 12 noon until 10.30 pm
• Weekdays: 10 am until 10.30 pm
• Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays: 9 am until 10.30 pm
• Exceptions are Käfers Wies’n-Schänke and Kufflers Weinzelt:
Last orders and end of live entertainment are at 0.15 am, both locations close at 1 am.
