October 2014 - At Kempinski Hotel Bahía the beginning of the Christmas and New Year’s celebrations is marked with a big homemade gingerbread house in the lobby and a traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony during the Christmas Market held on 6 and 7 December in the Hotel lobby. The traditional Christmas Market has something for everyone, including culinary kiosks offering homemade Christmas sweets, charity stands selling seasonal Spanish goodies for a good cause, Carol Singers of Estepona and a children´s choir creating a festive atmosphere.
Celebrate Christmas Eve at Alminar Wine & Steak House and have a magnificent night with a five-course Christmas menu starting with the hotel’s signature dish “La Ventresca” tuna belly as an appetizer, creative starters with a Mediterranean touch and a number of main courses to choose from. For example, freshly caught John Dory, supreme grilled beef from Galicia, Christmas turkey or Venision fillet with glazed chestnuts. The special evening will be accompanied by music from the duo “Bohemia”.
Alminar Wine & Steak House opens its doors on 25 December for a festive Christmas lunch in a cosy atmosphere with a four-course menu featuring freshly caught sea bass, Angus beef Christmas turkey. The musical “Jazz Duo” will accompany the lunch and create a festive atmosphere.
New Year’s Eve celebrations start with a welcome cocktail of Champagne Perrier Jouet Brut and Perrier Jouet Bloson Rose accompanied by Jamón Ibérico de Castaño (chestnut) from Alfajarin – nominated as the most exclusive and best in Spain with a production of no more than 180 pieces per year – and caviar from Granada, a winner of several gastronomic prizes in its category as best Iberian ham.
The gala dinner takes place in the warmly decorated Hotel lobby and features a delightful six-course menu accompanied by Champagne and selection of best wines selected by the Head Sommelier Ana. Throughout the dinner, the performance of three internally renowned tenors, Juan Carlos Barona of Phantom of the Opera in Spain and a live Golden 70`s Abba musical performance with over ten musicians will accompany the evening.
At midnight, ring in the New Year with a firework display at the Lobby terrace and keep on dancing and celebrating the whole night while fortifying with light dinner options and sweets until sunrise.
The little one’s celebrate their own New Year’s Eve at the “Winter Wonderland” next to the lobby with a children friendly menu, fun activities and the care of the hotel’s professional Kids Club Team.
