“We are delighted to welcome our iconic Lady in Red ambassadors to Berlin as we celebrate 120 years as a pioneering European luxury hotelier,” said Markus Semer, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Kempinski Hotels. “We created the Lady in Red tradition to offer our guests a truly personalised luxury experience, and while today she may be imitated by other hotel companies, the original Kempinski Lady in Red can never be matched.”

Launched in 2009, the innovative Lady in Red concept was created by Kempinski Hotels to bring a personal touch to the guest experience. Today she is an enduring feature for Kempinski worldwide, immediately recognisable at each of its destinations. With an intimate knowledge of the local culture, and the hotel itself, the Lady in Red works with the hotel concierge to embody the beauty of a grand hotel tradition for today’s discerning guests.

Sartorially, the Lady in Red symbolises the epitome of European elegance, in red attire lightly interpreted to reflect the local and cultural traditions of each destination. This diversity was showcased during weekend events in Berlin through a range of Kempinski Lady in Red styles, including original Chinese jackets, the traditional abaya, and Western-style dress.

Throughout the weekend, the Lady in Red ambassadors shared their savvy with guests attending anniversary celebrations about the local culture of hotel destinations they represent in China, Africa, Middle East, South East Asia and Europe.
