Victoria International Arts Festival has established itself as the longest-running festival of its kind on the islands, with events spanning five weeks between June and July.
For the 21st edition, the organisers will be presenting 40 concerts. Both the opening and the closing concerts will be performed by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of VIAF’s Artistic Director, Prof Mro Joseph Vella.
For the past 7 years, VIAF has also included a Baroque week within the larger framework of the Festival, hosting some of the world’s best performers of Baroque music.
More than 20 countries will be represented and over 600 performers will take part in the 2018 edition.
Concerts will be held in 8 different venues all over Victoria.
All concerts and cultural events are offered free to the public.
