New Tennis Centre

8 November 2017 – Starting now, it's game, set, match at Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt: In cooperation with Alexander Waske Tennis-University from Frankfurt/Offenbach, the hotel has opened an ultra-modern, covered tennis centre with two courts in its grounds. Both hotel guests and external tennis enthusiasts will now be able to play tennis in any weather, and receive lessons from professional trainers and tennis players. “This allows us to offer our guests a completely new and exclusive service,” says Hotel Director Karina Ansos. “The renowned tennis academy, which has launched many tennis players on international careers, is a great fit for us and a great addition to our recreational services. This allows our guests to easily combine wellness and tennis at the highest level.”

Karina Ansos wanted to renovate the existing tennis court, which is located in the external facilities of the Country Club & Spa Frankfurt, as part of the extensive hotel rebuilding project. “Now, through our close cooperation with Tennis-University, we are gaining international experience, a high level of professionalism, and tennis expertise at our hotel. This will allow ambitious young players and tennis enthusiasts to train with us. It's a perfect symbiosis,” the hotel director notes. Both tennis courts in the hotel facility's 1,300 square-metre hall are equipped with joint-friendly flooring, just like the court surfaces used in ATP and WTA tournaments, and fulfil the strictest requirements.

Elite international tennis players train at the Alexander Waske Tennis-University. Currently, 40 professional players are benefiting from the trainer expertise and high-level training offered by the Tennis-University; players like Angelique Kerber, Tommy Haas and Jürgen Melzer have already used its services. “The Kempinski hotel is close to our corporate headquarters, and its exclusive character makes it something special” Alexander Waske says, adding: “The ability to offer lessons to tennis players of every age, combined with the services offered by the wonderful Kempinski Hotel and Country Club & Spa Frankfurt, is unique worldwide. In addition, thanks to the cooperation, we can now also offer exciting and attractive events for companies.”

Trainers’ hotel guests can book for their lessons, including Alexander Waske, Philipp Petzschner and Sascha Nensel. One-hour lessons start at EUR 75, with an additional hall fee starting at EUR 22. Tennis players can also book a package. “Business breakfast”, for example, includes a one-hour lesson with a professional trainer in the Country Club & Spa Frankfurt, as well as breakfast in the hotel, and costs EUR 150 plus VAT. All training packages can also be booked for multiple individuals, reducing the price per person. An overview of all packages and prices is provided on the home page www.kempinski-frankfurt.tennis-university.com. Tennis lessons can be booked by phone through Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt on 069 389 88 805, or by sending an e-mail to the Concierge Team concierge.frankfurt@kempinski.com.

Reservations can also be made with the Tennis-University by telephone on 069 979 47 957 or by e-mail to info@tennis-university.com

If players already have a partner and just want to use the tennis centre, they can book their spot in a new online booking system at www.tennis-university.ebusy.de. Prices range from EUR 25 to 31 per hour.
