The Second Maifest Festival at Paulaner Bräuhaus of Kempinski Hotel Chongqing

28 May 2015 – Kempinski Hotel Chongqing celebrated the second annual Maifest at Paulaner Bräuhaus. General Manager Mr. Dany Luetzel kicked off the evening with the invited guests with a traditional beer barrel opening. Together they shouted “O’ zapft is!” with the help of Brew Master Mr Helmut Schwichtenberg, Paulaner Manager Ernest Kurish and Director of F&B Johnny Yang and invited hotel VIP.

The glittering event was started with our traditional German folk band - Max Zankl & die org, which made a splashy appearance during the evening. The Paulaner Maifest was held from 28-30 May and created a vibrant atmosphere in Paulaner Bräuhaus for more than 1000 guests with a very special lucky draw and Bavarian games every evening. Over 1,000 litres of special Maifest beer were brewed for the event including authentic German buffet dinner. “As one of the oldest European hotel operator, we are proud to carry on this authentic German Maifest and bring this culture to Chongqing. The evening was a memorable event for all our guests and we look forward to doing this every year,” said Mr. Dany Luetzel, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Chongqing.
