Qingcheng Mountain is known for its quietness and tranquility. It is a famous Taoist mountain and one of the birthplaces of Taoism.
Qincheng Mountain, one of the birthplaces of Chinese Taoism, is located in Dujiangyan City, 68 km (42.3 mi) west of Chengdu, and 10 km (6.2 mi) southwest of the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project. The main peak reaches 1,600 km (994.2 mi) above sea level. Qingcheng Mountain is a famous historical mountain and a national key scenic spot. In 2000, it entered the World Heritage list together with the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project.
