Five-Star Hotel of Year 2015 Award for Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest
Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest Named Five-Star Hotel of Year 2015 by Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association.
The Association launched “The Hotel of the Year” competition in cooperation with Hungarian Tourism Ltd. (Magyar Turizmus Zrt.) three years ago.
The award ceremony was held in the ballroom of Budapest Hilton on 22 January 2016, hosting some 250 guests from the travel industry, the government, the tourism board and the media, as well as the sponsors.
The awards were presented by Mr István Lepsényi, Minister of State for Economic Development and Regulation, Ms Susanne Kraus-Winkler, President of HOTREC, Mr Tamás Glázer, Deputy CEO for Tourism at Magyar Turizmus Zrt., and Dr Ákos Niklai, President of the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association.
In 2015, 21 five-, four- and three-star hotels applied. The judges evaluated the level of operations, market share and growth of market share, guest satisfaction, quality control, staff training, employee satisfaction and social corporate responsibility. Throughout the year, members of the jury conducted mystery visits to the hotels, paying special attention to the demonstration of passion for and commitment to providing outstanding service, a pleasant ambience and a memorable experience for guests.
“This is a great honour, which reconfirms the excellent results of last year, not only in performance and financially but also in terms of our re-positioning and positive guest perception.
