Pop Up Exhibition at Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay
Showcasing Turkey’s artistic talent is something that Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay, Bodrum prides itself in and this year is no exception.
The hotel is delighted to announce a pop up exhibition of Füge Demirok, a Turkish sculpture artist most acclaimed for winning the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Sculpture Contest with her piece, Secret of Eight.
Füge Demirok’s latest exhibition, Pebbles sees the medium of bronze combined with raw materials including wood and slate. The setting for the exhibition is perfect as the hotel is located on its own isolated bay with idealic views out to sea and the surrounding Turkish coastline. It is this sense of blissful isolation on the water’s edge that Pebbles portrays. The exhibition is calming and evokes a sense of peace often experienced when standing at the waters edge looking out to the ocean horizon.
