Hotel Adlon becomes a stage for young musicians from all over the world

Berlin, February 19, 2018 – The young musical talents performing every Saturday at Hotel Adlon Kempinski in a new concert series, Kempinski Concertini, are just as international and serene as the atmosphere in the iconic lobby itself. They come from all over the world, yet these students of the College of Fine Arts in Berlin have one thing in common: the dream of making their own place in history, just as this classic hotel at Brandenburg Gate.

Each Saturday afternoon, after the lights in the hotel lobby have dimmed and a hush falls over the conversation of guests, the spotlight shines on a young artist with his or her instrument. They may feel a little nervous at first, but soon these budding musicians have cast a spell over the audience.
The Kempinski Concertini series of mini-concerts at Hotel Adlon Kempinski includes violin and piano concertos, as well as flute and cello concertos. The young musicians impress with virtuoso interpretations of works by Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Strauss, Beethoven and Debussy.

“Everyone at Hotel Adlon Kempinski appreciates the magical performances of these students from the College of Fine Arts here in Berlin,” says Matthias Al-Amiry, Managing Director of the hotel. “These talented musicians are full of enthusiasm for their music and we are delighted to support them at this important step in their career by offering a beautiful stage in Berlin, where our guests from near and far can appreciate the memorable moments they create.”

Kempinski Concertini was launched in 2017 to mark the 120th anniversary of Kempinski Hotels. This oldest luxury hotel group in Europe see its commitment to the arts as an essential component of its role in the community. In addition to Hotel Adlon Kempinski, Kempinski Concertini events are held at several hotels around the world, mostly recently at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest, Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square in Vilnius and Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha, with more to come in future.
