Kempinski Hotel Beijing Hosts Herbs Garden Opening
Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center continues to further its commitment to the environment and sustainability by hosting the Herbs Garden Opening Ceremony in at hotel’s garden terrace for the 2nd consecutive year.
On April 11th 2014, Kempinski Hotel Beijing hosted the Herbs Garden Opening Ceremony to offer a unique experience for guests to help restart the garden for spring by planting herbs such as rosemary, sage, coriander, mint, and parsley. Participating guests included twenty General Managers from Kempinski properties in China, Regional Vice Presidents of China, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Guests enjoyed an innovative and healthy lunch buffet that focused on incorporating local organic vegetables and fresh fruits prepared by Executive Chef Thomas Laberer and his team of talented chefs
The Herbs Garden will result in savings on food costs and allow organic, fertiliser-free ingredients to be used in over a dozen dishes including salads and cold dishes in the hotel’s restaurants. The effort furthers Kempinski Hotel Beijing’s commitment to be the best hosts and provide unforgettable experiences for guests.
