On the night of 9 October, to the loud cheers of all the guests, Paulaner Bräuhaus announced its 22nd Oktoberfest celebration by tapping the first barrel of the “Oktoberfest bier”, the festival beer only brewed for this special occasion. Of course, Oktoberfest was also celebrated with live music, dancing, games, delectable Bavarian cuisine and the most important element – superior German beer.
The Paulaner beer is handcrafted using only four basic ingredients: barley, hops, yeast and water. Wolfgang Sesser, the resident master brewer who has 17 years of experience from the Paulaner Brewery in Munich, guarantees that all Paulaner Beijing’s beer is brewed according to Bavarian Purity Laws, ensuring superior taste and quality glass after glass. Today, after 370 years of Paulaner traditions, Paulaner Bräuhaus Beijing continues its commitment to quality and natural ingredients to deliver the best quality beer.
Paulaner Bräuhaus’ Head Chef Hartmut Friedrich ensures that the best traditional cuisine is always offered with his extensive international culinary experience. During Oktoberfest, Chef Hartmut showcased the famous Paulaner Butcher Platter and a variety of traditional dishes.
This celebration lasted two weeks, attracted guests from different countries and has been much loved by local Chinese customers as well. Oktoberfest at Paulaner Bräuhaus Beijing is a record holder in the capital city in terms of number of attendees and volume of beer consumed.
