Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko introduces Alpine Roses at the Lobby Bar
The new Green initiative is inspired by the hotel’s desire to be a close part of Pirin National Park, included in the Unesco Heritage
In keeping with our Green Policy and as a further contribution to the magnificent nature around Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko, the hotel undertook the initiative to decorate the tables of the Lobby Bar with plants – the unique alpine roses of the Pirin Mountains.
As of 14 February all tables in the lobby area are decorated with alpine roses in pots, which brings the mountain spirit into the hotel. All visitors and guests of the hotel Lobby have the opportunity to become a part of this new local experience.
Having in mind the hotel’s commitment to spread knowledge about the Pirin Mountains, part of the World Heritage by UNESCO, the hotel staff went in search of the ideal live plants to decorate the Lobby Bar area tables. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper Vesselina Yakubova came up with the inspired suggestion of the local alpine rose (Sempervivum). The alpine rose is a fabulous flower, which grows in the nearby majestic Pirin Mountains. The General Manager of the hotel Athanassios Manos - who is a mountaineer himself - was very pleased with the initiative and the final choice, having recognised the beautiful rose he has seen high in the mountains.
It is indeed the best way to bring down to the hotel Lobby tables the unique beautiful natural decoration of the mountain slopes which are just a few footsteps away. It shows both the hotel’s respect for ‘Mother Nature’ and the hotel’s commitment to maintain it for future generations while introducing to all valuable guests part of its wonderful treasures.
