Thai Gastronomic Masterclass with Chef Henrik Yde Andersen at Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin
BANGKOK, 1 June 2017 – Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok welcomed the return of renowned Michelin-starred Chef Henrik Yde Andersen to present a very special “Thai Gastronomic Masterclass”.
This exclusive Masterclass, on 24 May, was attended by more than 20 media from a broad cross section of communications platforms: print publications, online news channels and social media influencers. Guests were greeted by Sebastian de Vizcaya, Director or Food and Beverage at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok who also welcomed the return of renowned Michelin-starred chef Henrik Yde Andersen to unveil his famous Thai cooking techniques at the exclusive ‘Thai Gastronomic Masterclass’.
Chef Henrik prepared, cooked and then served his most famous creations ‘Frozen red curry with lobster salad’ along with his signature ‘Homemade oyster sauce’ and his latest interpretation of ‘Slow-cooked beef with homemade oyster sauce’. The Master Class concluded at Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin with a selection of well-known Thai ‘street-food’ dishes served in cocktail-style whilst Chef Henrik mingled with the media guests.
Chef Henrik Yde Andersen is a Danish national who fell in love with Thai cuisine when he visited Thailand for a vacation in 2000. His ‘Kiin Kiin’ restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark has been awarded a Michelin star and is currently the only Thai fine dining restaurant in the world to hold this prestige recognition.
About Henrik Yde Andersen
Henrik Yde Andersen is extremely well qualified as a chef creative fine French cuisine and also as a knowledgeable Sommelier. Chef Henrik's interest in Thai food was ignited when he first worked at various restaurants in Thailand from 2000 to 2004. He collected many recipes, traditional and modern, whilst gaining valuable 'hands-on' experience and knowledge about the secrets of Asian cooking. This inspired Henrik to open the iconic Kiin Kiin restaurant in Copenhagen.

The cuisine is widely recognised as ‘modern gastronomy at its best’ - making it very different from home-style cooking. Diners may experience a curry served with the texture and temperature of ice cream and bites of lobster locked inside gelatinous pearls that melt in your mouth with a sip of Tom Yam broth.
