Kempinski Seychelles Resort Welcomes New Director of Finance
David Hughes returns to the Seychelles to take up position as new Director of Finance at Kempinksi Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare.
18 January 2017, Baie Lazare, Seychelles – David Hughes has recently joined Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare as their new Director of Finance. Hughes, who hails from South Africa, is assuming his second appointment in the Seychelles after overseeing the opening of Eden Bleu as Director of Finance in 2014. He will be responsible for the resort’s strategic planning, forecasting, financial risk management, corporate governance and commercial, operational and legal compliance.
Hughes has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having worked for over 18 years with the Sun International Group, during which time he served in a variety of executive management positions within the company, including finance and project development and new business acquisitions. He has also worked with different hotel and casino groups, such as One&Only–Cape Town, Premier Hotels & Resorts, Orion Hotels & Resorts and, most recently, Seychelles’ Eden Bleu Hotel.
