New Spa Manager at Kempinski Hotel Ajman
With 13 years of experience in the spa industry, Malika started her career in 2003 in Jordan, after graduating with the Business Management diploma from the Ibn Khaldoun University in Algeria. A great ability to thrive and a passion-driven attitude towards the tourism and hospitality industry quickly aided Malika on her career path, taking her to the Moevenpick Resort Dead Sea, where she held several positions during her nine years there, overseeing more than 80 therapists and an extensive operation of 35 treatment rooms in the therapy centre and spa. This was followed by positions at other upscale luxury hospitality groups in Jordan.
Proficient in the luxury spa and wellness industries, Malika has an educational background that includes certifications from various Medical & Beauty Treatment training courses in the Middle East, and prior to joining Kempinski Hotel Ajman, Malika was in charge of the Premedion Health Club in Oman, where she worked as Assistant General Manager, overseeing the entire operations, from sales and marketing to the reception.
Commenting on her appointment, the Jordanian national Zarour said: “I am proud to be part of the Kempinski group and to work with its dedicated team. I am extremely excited to lead Kempinski The Spa and I look forward to attracting more local female guests by organising dedicated ladies’ events to boost the numbers of the in-house guest ratio up to 70% and to create new, innovative and well-targeted campaigns along with our team.”
Kai Schukowski, General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Ajman, added: “We are glad to have Malika on board, as her wide knowledge in the field as well as years of expertise in the region, complemented by her strong language skills, being fluent as she is in Arabic, English, French and Spanish, will further boost the numbers of our spa guests, and I wish her all the very best in her new endeavour.”
