Kempinski Hotel Ajman is Strengthening its F&B Forces

Mohammad Najjar appointed as assistant F&B director and Nicolas Renouf promoted to assistant F&B manager, overseeing 12 F&B outlets.

With more than 14 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry in the Middle East region, Jordanian national Mohammad Najjar currently oversees the operations of 12 F&B outlets and is leading 85 team members and 64 kitchen staff members at Kempinski Hotel Ajman.

Prior to working for the past seven consecutive years with Kempinski, Najjar was employed at a series of five-star properties in various roles in the F&B Department, including at the Marriot and Intercontinental Hotels in Aqaba, Jordan. Working with Kempinski Hotel Ajman since 2009, Najjar has successfully contributed to exceeding the targeted annual revenues at the food and beverage outlets, developing growing talents and organising large-scale events. Under his personal leading, Zanzi Bar won the Restaurant Team of the Year award at the Caterer ME Awards in 2014, as Najjar’s objective has always been to work with the utmost dedication to reach group and individual goals by creating innovative ideas and hiring talented people to join the team.

Nicolas Renouf lived in Geneva for 18 years, and studied materials engineering in Nimes in France, before joining Kempinski Hotel Leela in India as a management trainee at the young age of 21. After a year, he moved back to Europe to continue his studies at hospitality management schools in France, Spain and the UK. He continued his career in Sao Paulo as a receptionist and in France at a two-star Michelin restaurant with Chef Christophe Aribert. After receiving a personal phone call in 2012 from Kempinski Leela’s GM, Nicolas moved back to India, and in 2014 joined the Kempinski team in Ajman as an outlet manager in charge of two bars and an all-day-dining restaurant.

Commenting on the recent appointments, Kai Schukowski, General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Ajman, said: “In order to firmly position Kempinski Hotel Ajman as the preferred F&B destination with the highest number of hotel-operated F&B outlets in the Northern Emirates, we are consolidating and strengthening our F&B positioning by having the right people in place in order to optimise efficiency, whilst catering to the growing demand, as we have projected to increase our covers by 30% in 2017.”
