Kempinski Hotel Ajman Awarded as the ‘Best Marketing Hotel of the Year 2014’

Alexander Suski, Director of Sales and Marketing at Kempinski Hotel Ajman and a Belgium native with international hospitality experience of more than 12 years, said, “2014 was an interesting yet difficult year for our marketing team. Two new five-star properties opened and established themselves in the Ajman market. Our goal was to make sure that we maintained the number one position. Secondly, marketing our F&B outlets was a major focus, which is one of the main revenue sources of the hotel with more than ten outlets. Thirdly, we focused on repositioning our hotel in terms of image and pricing by staying innovative and fresh to compete with two brand new five-star properties.”

Arnaud Espasa, head of marketing at Kempinski Hotel Ajman, added, “Our mission was to find alternative and new revenue streams, as the second half of 2014 was challenging for us and the hospitality industry in the UAE in general. For example, in 2014, we launched Sunset Beatz Ajman – a concept of monthly beach parties that bring people to our hotel from all over the UAE.”

Mr Espasa revealed, “You have to do a lot of research, become familiar with the market and know what your clients are looking for. Apart from other hotels, I feel that we have that constant drive for innovation and finding alternative sources, while always respecting the budget with a high focus on ROI (Return On Investment).”
