Signs of spring at Emirates Palace
Spring has already arrived at Emirates Palace ahead of the Easter weekend next month, with the onset of beautiful weather and signs of new life around the Palace grounds.
Throughout the 85 hectares of manicured gardens and lush lawns on this iconic landmark property in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, colourful flowers are in full bloom and baby birds are stretching their little wings to make their first flight. With over 100 species of birds calling the Palace grounds their home, spring is the perfect season for the avid members of the Emirates Palace Bird Watching Club.
Within the last two weeks, there has also been an increase in baby turtles visiting the 1.3 kilometer stretch of beach at the Palace, to be cleaned and returned into the ocean by the Emirates Palace Beach Club staff. Everywhere you turn, the sights, smells and sounds of spring fill the air.
“Spring is in the air!” said Holger Schroth, General Manager of Emirates Palace. “The signs are all around us: you can hear the birds chirping, feel the warm sea breeze against your cheek, and see a newfound energy in everything around you.”
“Take a moment to appreciate the changing of the seasons with us, perhaps on one of our stand-up paddle boards in the bay or over the Easter weekend with your whole family.”
To celebrate Easter this year, Emirates Palace has a diverse itinerary for all ages. From April 17th to 29th, children can enjoy a variety of activities at Sarab Land, the designated Kid’s Club. From egg colouring to cupcake decorating and fun sports, let your children’s creativity run wild within the beautiful landscaped gardens.
Those spending Easter at Emirates Palace can join in on special activities over the Easter weekend, such as a Sand Sculpturing Competition on Good Friday, April 18th, and an Easter Egg Hunt and Snorkeling Treasure Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 20th. Special Easter menus are also available throughout the Palace in all of the restaurants and cafés to give you a full flavour of spring.
