Emirates Palace Grants the Wishes of Ill Children

Abu Dhabi, February 1, 2017

Emirates Palace knows that any hotel is only as grand as its community, so every year it works together with its community to make Abu Dhabi an even better place to live and visit. This year via its annual Golden Hearts campaign, Emirates Palace was able to grant even more wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses and also to allow local school children to support the initiative. At a formal luncheon that took place in Emirates Palace with Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, General Manager Holger Schroth brought a little cheer and big smiles to the faces of a few Make-A-Wish children when he granted some highly anticipated wishes. The luncheon was the culmination of the Golden Hearts campaign in December 2016 where the Palace raises money to create special moments for children in the UAE with life-threatening medical conditions.

Commenting on the community initiative, Mr Hani Alzubaidi, the CEO of the Make-A-Wish UAE Foundation says, “It was truly inspiring to see children raising funds to help grant wishes for other children who were ill.”

“We are truly grateful to everyone who supported Golden Hearts through their purchases in Le Café and on the day of our tree lighting ceremony and to the local school children who aided the initiative this year,” remarked Mr. Holger Schroth, the General Manager. “We are both humbled and honoured to do our small part in bringing joy and light into the lives of children in our community.”
