On 7 January, Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko organised festive dinners at its restaurants along with exciting live entertainment shows in celebration of Christmas Day according to the Julian calendar. The fine-dining Mediterranean restaurant Come Prima offered an exquisite festive menu served under the sounds of musical band Taboo.

The guests who chose to celebrate at The Gallery Restaurant enjoyed a lavish buffet with thematic Russian specialities. The evening began with a live performance of Bulgarian folklore songs and traditional dances. The programme continued with an exhilarating opera performance by famous Bulgarian soprano Daniela Dimova and tenor Valeriy Georgiev. Dancers from the Russian State Ballet of Siberia made a surprise appearance with an exclusive flash mob of popular ballet “Carmen Dance”. Hotel guests and visitors of Bansko will have the opportunity to attend the full play on 8, 9 and 10 January from 18:00 at the “Nikola Vaptsarov” Community Centre in the city centre.

General Manager Athanassios Manos commented, “I am glad that the guests enjoyed our programme and that we contributed to the Christmas spirit last night. It is important for us to offer alternative forms of entertainment during the ski season according to guests’ national customs by organising such thematic events along with the hotel facilities we have on site, like our Kempinski The Spa, variety of bars and the free Kids Club for the families. We are already planning our new festivity season with more added value packages with cultural experience to ensure pleasant holidays for our guests combining ski and culture”.

Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko supports the First International Ballet Festival Bansko 2015 and other cultural projects, as Bansko is not only a renowned ski destination but has a great potential for cultural tourism as well. The hotel is also a main sponsor of the Bansko Opera Fest taking place at the end of August already five years in a row.
