Stuttgart/Königstein im Taunus, 5 October 2015. The catering service of Villa Rothschild Kempinski and Falkenstein Grand Kempinski hosted over 200 guests at an exclusive Pur concert held at the Breuninger store.
Not only were visitors able to give free rein to their emotions while enjoying songs played by cult band Pur, but their taste buds were tickled too – all at the invitation of the upmarket fashion and lifestyle department store.
The artisans of flavour served a flying meal tailored perfectly to the concert schedule. Guests were welcomed with a duo of quiche Lorraine variations, followed by a trilogy of “flying” main courses, including marinated yellow-fin mackerel with wasabi, avocado and cucumbers, confit of Faroe salmon with peas, mangetout and Parmesan and sous-vide boiled tri-tip steak with green asparagus, wild mushrooms and browned butter. Even if Pur’s hit ”Abenteuerland” was one of the evening’s “tenderest” temptations, the song was complemented perfectly in culinary terms with a regional dessert of Black Forest gateau and exotic fruit salad, which also got the juices flowing.
The 18-strong catering team responsible for these flavour creations was managed by restaurant manager and sommelier of Villa Rothschild, Benjamin Birk (waiting staff) and Philip Raubach, sous-chef at the starred restaurant Villa Rothschild, (cooks).
