Open Amateur Championship at The Cascades Golf Course

For the ninth year successively the Pan Arab Golf Championship will be back to the Cascades Golf Course. This year tournament will be held under the sponsorship of the Arab Golf Federation and the Red Sea Governorate. The 2009 Pan Arab Championship at The Cascades Golf Club will be held from the June, 29 to the July 5, 2009 for ladies, Gentlemen, and seniors who can enter under Gold, Silver and Bronze Categories, depending on their ability.

The Cascades Championship Golf Course was designed by international golfer, Gary Player, winner of 163 Championships around the world and one of only five golfers ever to have won the Grand Slam.

Soma Bay’s stunning Cascades Championship Golf Course has been ranked the number one golf course in the world outside of Europe for the second year running. This award is given by the readers of one of Germany’s leading golf magazines, Golf Journal, and is considered to be one of the highest accolades in the golfing press world.

Every year Zanzibaris and guests from all over the world are celebrating the ZIFF Festival of the Dhow Countries, East Africa's largest cultural event. The magnificent and historical venues along the waterfront of Stone Town create a wonderful, festive atmosphere.

Hungaroring, Mogyoród

The Hungaroring circuit is situated by the M3 highway near the town of Mogyoród, 19 kilometers from Budapest centre. The circuit lies in a natural valley, embraced by a semicircle of 50 hectares of audience section. Due to the excellent landscape conditions, spectators can see 80 per cent of the total circuit from any place. That is why it is called "the flat plate", since the viewers sit on the rim of an imaginary plate and enjoy the event from there.

The events of Summer on the Chain Bridge are opened by the Bridge Festival, organised to great success for many years, and the Budapest Carnival, which originally marked the withdrawal of Soviet troops.
Budapest’s most beautiful bridge was taken over by pedestrians for eight themed weekends, with performances by bands, theatres and dance groups. Both young and old alike will find something to entertain amongst shows by Hungarian and foreign artists from the worlds of theatre, classical music, folk music, world music, jazz and dance amongst craft stalls and puppet theatres.

Displaying treasures from the cradle of three world religions the exhibition shows both the changes and the continuity of the artistic interpretation of the sacred from its most ancient manifestations all the way to contemporary works of art. The masterpieces originating from different historical periods and artistic areas come from various collections of the Israel Museum. Thus, the exhibition’s objective is to call attention to the relationship between the displayed works, which in some cases is self-evident yet surprising in others.

The State Russian Museum is the largest depository of the Russian fine art in St Petersburg.

The museum was established on April 13, 1895, upon enthronement of Nicholas II to commemorate his father, Alexander III. Its original collection was composed of artworks taken from the Hermitage Museum, Alexander Palace, and the Imperial Academy of Arts. After the Russian Revolution of 1917, many private collections were nationalized and relocated to the Russian Museum. These included Kazimir Malevich's Black Square.
