Zamani Zanzibar Kempinski Hotel wins Leading Resort in Tanzania award.

The Zamani Zanzibar Kempinski hotel has won its second prestigious award in a row. At the 14th Annual World Travel Awards Middle East & Africa, held on May 30, in Abu Dhabi, Zamani Zanzibar Kempinski was voted by more than 167,000 travel professional and 110,000 travel agents worldwide as the Leading Resort in Tanzania.

Zanzibar, October 2009: In compliance with Kempinski’s philosophy of developing talent we approached the Zanzibarian Institute of Tourism Development, which has a hotel management college on the island, with the intention of presenting Kempinski and Kempinski Hotels in Tanzania in particular, to more than 120 students.

Subsequently we had an ‘interview day’ for the students attending the hotel management college aspiring to have an opportunity to do their field placement with Zamani Zanzibar Kempinski. Eight students were eventually selected and are currently being trained while supporting the hotel.
