The Golden Pillow Awards of China Hotels are jointly held by China’s top financial medium, the 21st Century Business Herald, and the first “Business + Travel” magazine in China, Business Travel. The awards aim to provide accurate information with China’s high-end businessmen’s demand for luxury business and resort hotels in mind. The awards also serve to provide an authoritative and instructional reference for the development of China’s hotel industry. The Golden Pillow Awards is the most fiercely competitive hotel industry event in China and indeed for all of Asia. More than 4,000 hotels participate in this event every year.
Hotels were evaluated over a nearly four month evaluation period, during which feedback from dozens of professional judges (including businessmen, experts, media members, artistic judging panels and hotel investors) and millions of votes from netizens were considered. Kempinski Hotel Yixing finally stood out and lived up to its reputation as one of “2013 China’s Top 10 Most Popular Newly Opened Hotels”.
Kempinski Hotel Yixing opened on 5 January, 2013. Only six months after the opening, the hotel has established itself as the landmark property of Yixing’s hotel industry and The Place to Be in China’s capital of pottery, thanks to its excellent facilities, outstanding architecture and location. The hotel’s first class service boosts its reputation as well. Sebastien Mariette, the General Manager of the hotel, proudly says, “The goal of Kempinski Hotel Yixing is to become the best hotel in Jiangsu Province. It is an honour for our hotel to receive the recognition we have from the Golden Pillow Awards. It encourages us on our way to combine European Flair & Luxury with Chinese traditions, and we will continue to provide the excellent service we are known for.”
