To ensure the success of the festival, and in keeping with our F&B commitment to provide guests with a memorable dining experience, Guest Chef Fabrizio Zanetti with Michelin Star restaurant background including Ca d’Oro at Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains St Moritz and The Savoy Grill by Gordon Ramsey in London, joined our culinary team for one month to prepare for this European extravaganza.
To launch the festival Chef Zanetti prepared an exclusive set menu featuring the cuisines of Spain, Italy, France and Switzerland, for a luncheon attended by 20 media representatives, including Xiamen TV, Xiamen Media Group, ifeng.com and Sina.com. Then the stage was set for the launch of the festival on the 4th October with an abundant buffet dinner featuring an array of European culinary classics and live cooking by Chef Zanetti of his signature dishes including Mushroom Risotto and his Swiss Chocolate assorted plate.
“Our culinary team led by Executive Sous Chef Bruce Xie together with Chef Zanetti, has taken the culinary offering to the next level during this festival and it was clear to see the passion of the chefs to make this festival a success. The cuisine was complimented by attentive service from the Kaffee on 2 team and, naturally, a fine selection of French and Italian wines. It was indeed a pleasure to receive so many sincere compliments from the over 1,300 guests that dined at Kaffee on 2 during the festival in recognition of the European flair brought to the table by our F&B team. I am proud of them all” commented Mr. Nick Eeles, General Manager.
