Sparkling Wine Degustation with Lithuania’s Best Sommelier – Narimantas Miežys

Join us for an unforgettable hour at the elegant Le Salon Bar and Lounge at Kempinski for an exclusive sparkling wine degustation hosted by Narimantas Miežys, Lithuania’s best sommelier.

Enjoy a tailor-made event and learn about sparkling wines. The exclusive sparkling wine collection, accompanied by mouth-watering antipasti will be presented at the luxurious Le Salon Bar and Lounge at Kempinski in Vilnius. During the sparkling wine degustation you will learn about the history of Champagne and Prosecco, methods of production, while gaining significant knowledge about grape varietals and interesting facts about sparkling wine.


During the sparkling wine degustation you will taste Taittinger, Moet, Prosecco accompanied with ham, cheese and grapes antipasti. One-hour degustation events are available for a minimum of four guests. Please note that events should be booked in advance and are subject to availability. Presentations are available in Lithuanian and English and take place at Le Salon Bar and Lounge.

About sommelier – Narimantas Miežys

Narimantas Miežys obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees of business management at Gediminas Technical University and learned his sommelier secrets at the Lithuanian Sommelier School in Vilnius. With more than seven years’ experience and interest in refined wines, Miežys is one of the most prominent and successful sommeliers in the Baltic countries.

An attendee at more than nine sommelier championships, Narimantas Miežys was recognised as the best Sommelier in Lithuania in 2012 and 2013. The same year, he was named the vice champion in the Baltic Countries Sommelier Championship “Vana Tallinn Grand Prix 2012”, where he earned second place. In addition, he was the first representative of Lithuania in the history of the Baltic Countries Sommelier Championship who became one the top three.
