With his imaginative pictorial motifs, Joan Miró is one of the most popular artists of the 20th century. The Albertina is dedicating a solo exhibition to the Catalonian artist containing around 100 paintings, drawings and objects, which strives to emphasise the poetic quality of the famous Surrealist. Miró's works provide insight into his poetic perception and interpretation of the original, of that which is actually essential in things, the world and the universe.
