Ganguar celebrations are an intrinsic part of the Mewar Festival in Udaipur

The Mewar festival dates back hundreds of years and is still popular today. It draws great gatherings from all over as people witness this 18 day festival which celebartes the advent of Spring and coincides with the Gangaur festival in Udaipur. The women wear their traditional finery and carry heavily decorated deities to the Lake Pichola.
