Active social responsibility
Kempinski Hotel Zografski Sofia is part of the worldwide initiative of BE foundation, contributing actively to the fight against infectious diseases. The amount of BGN 2 is added to the room bill of the hotel guests, while the funds raised are used for the implementation of global and local health projects. "Supporting BE global initiatives is extremely important since this shows our active social responsibility towards the value of life and the improvement of life quality. On a local level, the funds raised can assist health projects and hence the community with one clear objective – to share knowledge and information and change people’s behaviour in order to detect the diseases at an earlier stage and facilitate treatment", says Gerd Ruge, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Zografski Sofia.

The hotel focuses on improving the level of all energy consumption resources, including water, electricity and gas. It also works on recycling, sustainability and conservation practices at the hotel as well as on environmental awareness training for all staff.
Kempinski Hotel Zografski has a green guest-awareness programme: the small Oak Tree left on the bed by the guest informs the housekeeping attendant to make up the bed with the existing linen, thus reducing the water for laundry and the associated waste water.
