Supporting young people on the way towards more knowledge
Devoted to the idea of supporting young people in all spheres of development, Kempinski Hotel Marinela became a parner of the Colourful Olympics initiative organized by Bulgaria Si Ti foundation in June 2014.
The educational competition covered 18 regions in Bulgaria, and the subjects included English, German, French, Bulgarian, Maths and IT for different age groups, first in online and then regular tests.
The tests were prepared by experts from the Bulgarian Academy of Science and St Kliment Ohridski University, the oldest university in the country.
The purpose of the programme is to stimulate the desire to learn more among young people, and to test their current knowledge and skills.
The award ceremony combined with a big concert, took place on 17 June at Ivan Vazov National Theatre and featured show by some of the most famous Bulgarian performers.
Kempinski Hotel Marinela Sofia joined in by providing accommodation for the students who stayed in Sofia before the big exam in German.
Throughout the years the hotel has been devoted to various initiatives for development of young people. For several years in a row it has been organizing Young Artist evenings giving floor for performnce to young talents as well as raising funds for art education for some of its participants.
