Kempinski Hotel Zografski Sofia’s contribution to the project was an evening under the name Young Artists in the World of Music and Paintings which took place on September 28, 2009 and featured music performance by students from Lubomir Pipkov National Music School and a stylish exhibition with pieces of art created by the students in Iliya Petrov National School for Fine Arts.
“The idea for this initiative originated at a meeting with 66 general managers of Kempinski properties around the globe this spring and we are happy to be among the first to implement it and give platform to the young talents of Bulgaria”, Mr. Stefan Schwind, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Zografski Sofia said in his speech.
Daniel Kempf, Director of Sales and Marketing at the hotel added the evening would only be the beginning of the global project and more exciting art events would follow.
Milka Miteva, Director of Lubomir Pipkov National Music School shared her hope that these young people will define the cultural history of this century.
Maria Landova, Director of Iliya Petrov National School for Fine Arts pointed out that the two schools involved in the first Young Artist evening were the oldest art schools in the country and would gladly join any future event dedicated to young people development.
Each participant in the Young Artist in the World of Music and Paintings evening was awarded with a special certificate of Kempinski Hotel Zografski Sofia to remind of the noble cause and great achievements of this evening.
Kempinski Hotel Zografski has always been keen on young talent development. In the long run it has supported a number of cultural and sports initiatives including accommodation of all the participants in the first Music Idol in Bulgaria, support of international Abracadabra children’s square show organized by Associazione Amici dei Bambini where children-actors make shows for the children from orphanages in open air performances, football competitions, etc.
