Sanya international wedding week held at Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya

New couples getting married always dream of the most romantic and unusual wedding ceremonies. With clean sky and warm sea water providing the background and high-end infrastructure showing the world the new face of tropical tourism paradise Sanya, Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya hosted the Sanya International Wedding Week from 12 to 16 December.

More than a hundred wedding professionals came from top wedding planning companies to learn about upscale trends and the latest designs from world famous event and wedding designer Mr Preston Bailey, who also held his first private dinner in the Wood Museum at Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya. In the peaceful night, the 200-year old mansion was decorated with bamboo and orchids, which gave a special sense of peace and elegance to the space. There were 50 top wedding and luxury media members as well as well-known wedding planners invited to enjoy dining in the traditional Chinese courtyard which was surrounding with ancient Chinese artistic furniture; people cheered and shared best wishes through idyllic Chinese poetry. This eastern classical cultural dinner gave a meaningful experience to Preston Bailey and all his guests.

Beside the cultural dinner, the First Table Setting and Centrepieces Contest also kicked off in the Vienna Grand Ballroom at Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya. At the contest, 25 candidates showed off their creativity in table designs and told stories of their design’s inspiration. The famous star couple Mr Gao Yun-xiang and Ms Dong Xuan were invited as the presenters. The newly married couple also shared their love story and said a romantic, beautiful and meaningful wedding may be the most precious thing a couple can have.

As the hosting hotel, Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya let it be known that it could provide various wedding venues for future brides and grooms, like the 4000 sqm lawn for an outdoor event and the 1500 sqm Vienna Grand Ballroom, which ranks as the largest ballroom in Hainan. No matter what kind of wedding one would like, the hotel can help: a traditional Chinese wedding could be put on in the Wood Art Museum, or a western-style wedding could take place on the beach. Tailor-made wedding menus will please the tastes of people from all different parts of the world, and the exclusive wedding planner will design unique weddings and help people make all their wedding dreams come true.

We are ready to provide guests with a memorable journey inspired by exquisite European flair. In our hotel, we not only have a romantic nature, but we also are committed to creating rich and meaningful experiences to those who choose us for their wedding on Hainan Island.” said the General Manager, Mr William Latour.
