December 10, 2012, Sanya, China –Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya recently won the“2012 The Best Design Hotel” award from Sina Com and the Future Star Award from Grand Hotels Magazine in the sixth You Are the Chef awards ceremony.
The "You Are the Chef" awards are put on through the joint efforts and collaboration of a variety of media outlets, including the TV programme You Are the Chef, Sina Com, the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and Grand Hotels Magazine, a major Chinese hotelier and travel destination magazine. The awards were decided on over a period of three months during which lots of feedbacks was received from professional judges, including from the TV programme You Are the Chef, as well as judging panels of gourmets and artists, televiewers, ICS TV , and millions of online votes.
As a newly opened hotel, Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya was recognized by its guests and industry professionals for the sophisticated facilities and its combination of Chinese culture with European flair. The “2012 The Best Design Hotel” award came from Sina Style, an information platfrom specialy set up for the luxury industry, which praised the hotel as a new tourism destination for the public.
In the Future Star Award, the hotel overshadowed all its rivals, based largely on the feedback from the TV programme You Are the Chef. Mr. Bird Kei, the Executiv Chinese Chef who has yearly superb culinary art experience, cooked 5 different style dishes of mushrooms which gathered from the Himalayas Mountains, showed the historical gourmet culture and health preserving aspects of Chinese cuisine.
