Five prestigious awards in October

It has been a busy month for Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya with no less than five awards recognizing the hotel recently.

Travel+Leisure named the hotel as “2013 China’s Best New Hotel”. Following the success of global Travel + Leisure "World's Best Awards", Travel + Leisure China first launched its annual event in 2009. Over the years, China Travel Awards has evolved to become the definitive guide for outstanding hotels, airlines and cruises.

Next on the list was “Best Resort Hotels of 2013” –the only Kempinski hotel in China awarded from Travel+ publication, one of China’s leading travel and tourism magazine under the National Tourism Administration.  In its 7th year, Travel+ continues to focus on the emerging travel lifestyle and destinations of the increasingly affluent Chinese.

Earlier in the month, Best In Travel annual polls carried out by Smart Travel Asia recognized Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya as one of the “Top 25 Leisure Hotels and Resorts in Asia” among 3 other luxury names in Sanya. Readers’ votes were based on use of product, feedback from friends and brand visibility in their browsing space. In its 9th year, the poll ran over three months of which voters profile are 70% Asia-based whilst the remaining from Europe, Americas.

City Traveler Magazine presented Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya as the “Best Vacation Destination Hotel Award”. Established in 2008, City Traveler magazine is a high-end luxury magazine for mainly female travelers showcasing travel trends for business, leisure, celebrity travel, gourmet cuisine, health and beauty.

Meanwhile, Yuen Court, the hotel’s Chinese restaurant, was also recognized as the “Best Chinese Cuisine Restaurant for 2013” by Target Magazine -making it the only Kempinski on the winners’ list. No stranger to top hotels and executive floors, the publication showcases high society lifestyle in China with contents that range from high fashion, jewelry, cars to luxury travel experiences.
