Zugspitze via Kempinski Hotel Airport Munichtitle="Zugspitze.jpg" />

Top of Germany.

A day-trip to the highest mountain of Germany –the Zugspitze- is the perfect excursion for the entire family! Enjoy the pure nature and a fantastic skiing area- the top of Germany.

In 1820 the Zugspitze was mounted for the first time and since 1897 the Munich house with the weather station is situated on top. There are different possibilities to reach the mount peak; either with the ropeway from Grainau and from Ehrwald in Tirol, or with the Bavarian “Zugspitzbahn”, a cog railway that takes you from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to the top in 75 minutes.

Whether by foot or by train- after arriving on an altitude of 3000 meters, the Zugspitze offers a breath-taking panorama that reaches from the German and Austrian Alps to Italy and Switzerland.
