15 October 2013 (Moscow, Russia) – Burkhard Wolter has been appointed General Manager of Hotel Nikol’skaya Kempinski Moscow.
Prior to his appointment at Hotel Nikol’skaya Kempinski, Mr. Wolter was General Manager at Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah.
Burkhard, a German native, has a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from Hotel Management School Bavaria and speaks four languages including German, English, French and Spanish.
Mr. Wolter began his career in 1984 as a chef. After various food and beverage positions at hotels in Germany, Switzerland and the UK, he continued his professional career on cruise ships, where he gained experience as sous chef and later became a chef in Cape Town, South Africa.
His career led him to jobs at leading hotels chains, including Four Seasons, Shangri-La, Hilton, Raffles, as well as Orient-Express Hotels, which took him to Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates. In 2010, Wolter joined Kempinski as General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Ajman.
At Hotel Nikol’skaya Kempinski Moscow, Wolter will oversee operations of the hotel’s 211 rooms and suites and wide range of gastronomic venues, including the heritage-decorated Mosaik all-day dining restaurant and Mojito Bar and Restaurant. The property has a total of six restaurants and bars, in addition to L. RAPHAEL Spa and multifunctional conference facilities.
