Designed as a heathland type course, its layout is divided into three different areas: the plateau area (holes 1 to 5 and 17 to 18) where the course has the feel of a Heathland course with wide fairways and outstanding views of the Mediterranean sea and the local mountain ranges, including Sierra Nevada. The river valley where the holes meander along the valley and incorporate various water features/hazards, and the third area that provides more movement to the course. The difficulty on the course mainly concerns the prevailing winds in the area.
