Since being built in 1990, the San Roque Old Golf Course has become one of the finest courses on the Costa del Sol. Set in a large parkland layout with rolling fairways and scenic coastal views, the course is dotted with natural creeks and majestic cork oaks. Originally designed by Dave Thomas, the course has since been redesigned by Severiano Ballesteros.
While many enjoy the scenery of the San Roque Old, the course can still pose a challenge for golfers and can therefore accommodate players of all ability levels.
The Grand Club House remains to be one of the most distinguished parts of the course, and the European Tour itself gave San Roque the accolade of hosting the prestigious final of the Qualifying School, where it ran from 1993 until 2008.
