Known as one of the most significant Turkish painters of all time, Acar's works have been included in private collections and exhibitions all over Europe, USA, Russia and Japan. Entitled 'Aşk' (Love), the exhibition covers some exclusive pieces from the artist's collection together with new works inspired by the historical love affair between Eugenie, the wife of Napoleon III, and Ottoman Sultan Abdulaziz, behind closed doors at the Cirağan Palace. The exhibition takes place on the ground floor every day between 9 February and 28 March, with no entrance fee.

Since March 2009, Classical Music Concerts are organized at the Palace once a month on Saturdays where guests, after a cup of coffee enjoy the best of classical music.

The 40th Music Festival will host more than 750 local and foreign artists and features 23 concerts including symphonic and chamber orchestras, vocal concerts, chamber music and recitals. The festival concerts will be held in 8 different venues including Hagia Eirene Museum, which continues to host the festival for the last 40 years, along with the Haliç Congress Center, Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center, Garden of the Netherlands Consulate General, Süreyya Opera House, Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall, Istanbul University Rectorate Building and Istanbul Archaeological Museum.

The entertainment will continue for 40 days with street festivals, concerts, shows, games for kids, parties, contests and fashion shows. The opportunities are not limited to these as those in İstanbul during the festival have the chance to shop from the newest collections at discounted prices. On top of that, during long shopping nights, it will be possible to shop till 02.00am and enjoy İstanbul at its most fabulous self.
