BE Health Association is an independent, non-profit association based in Switzerland. BE pursues one goal: to spread health by facilitating the prevention, detection and treatment of infectious diseases, in particular HIV/Aids, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
BE believes health can be contagious through activities that have local impact and a global reach.
Based on a shared vision and belief, BE has been founded jointly by Kempinski, Landor, Bloch & Partner and bridge.over, and enjoys the kind support of the World Health Organization. For the implementation of its prevention activities, BE works closely with global and local health care partners.
Together with BE, Kempinski now wishes to take further actions by helping not only its own employees, but their household and the local community take responsibility for their own health, especially with regard to the most devastating infectious diseases.
Peer education is at the heart of BE’s activities and Kempinski’s hotels are an excellent platform from which to educate and reach a larger number of people. Selected employees of Kempinski’s hotels will receive training to become peer educators and to transfer the knowledge into their communities in collaboration with BE’s experienced healthcare partners. In this way, the workplace serves as a springboard to spread health - empowering people to help themselves and others. Work is where people share knowledge and information: where better to educate people about infectious diseases and ways to prevent them?
To date, Kempinski has dedicated over half a million Euro demonstrating its commitment to BE’s mission. In addition, Kempinski collects funds. Kempinski hotel guests can join Kempinski in supporting BE by accepting the 1 Euro per night that will be added to their invoice. Guest donations will directly fund BE’s prevention activities.
