Alessandro Redaelli appointed General Manager of Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah

Dubai, September 25, 2013; Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah has welcomed Alessandro Redaelli as the hotel’s new General Manager. Redaelli will oversee the day-to-day operations at the all-suite resort.

Alessandro RedaelliCommenting on his appointment, Redaelli said, “Having previously spent many years in the Middle East, I am thrilled to be back in this vibrant region that never ceases to impress. With the results of the Expo 2020 bid just around the corner in November, all eyes are fixed on Dubai; it’s a great time to be on one of the most internationally recognized symbols of Dubai and the UAE, Palm Jumeirah."

Redaelli will also oversee the second phase of the hotel’s expansion. With construction for the project restarting in the coming weeks, the resort is set to open in the second half of 2015.

When complete, the hotel will boast 355 rooms, which will include one royal suite, six presidential suites and eight sprawling villas, all of which will feature spacious terraces with outstanding views. Six themed restaurants and three bars will also be added, including a stunning concept restaurant by an award-winning Michelin star chef. In addition the property will offer extensive high-end retail outlets, a ballroom with views of the Dubai skyline and three large temperature controlled swimming pools, one of which will become the largest covered indoor pool on Palm Jumeirah. The hotel’s current partnership with the world-renowned French spa chain ‘Cinq Mondes Spa Paris’ will also continue, flourishing into a 3000 square meter spa next door, complete with over 25 treatment rooms and it’s very own hammam.

Redaelli joins the team from Hotel Nikol’skaya Kempinski Moscow, where he oversaw the much-anticipated opening of the hotel as General Manager. Prior, Redaelli spent two years leading Hotel de la Paix in Geneva, for Concorde Hotels & Resorts. In addition he has also held the position of Group General Manager for Boscolo Luxury Hotels, simultaneously looking after hotels in Rome, Venice, Prague, Budapest and Nice.

The new appointment for Redaelli marks his return to the Middle East, having held a variety of management positions with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, and with Sheraton Hotel & Resorts in Doha.

Alessandro Redaelli graduated from Bellagio Hotel School, Italy with a Hotel Kitchen and Service Diploma. He also received a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management & Administration from Geneva Hotel School. In addition he also completed a management course in Business Administration from SDA Bocconi University, Milan.

An Italian national, Redaelli is fluent in English, French and Italian, as well as speaking basic Spanish and Russian. Redaelli loves Italian cuisine and preparing dishes inspired by his roots, he has often been described as a “first-rate cook.” In his spare time he also enjoys playing golf and squash.
