Dubai, May 2013: Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates has announced the second phase of its enhancement programme after Aspen by Kempinski, the hotel’s signature luxury lobby lounge, re-opened in December of last year with a completely new look and feel.
“2012 was an excellent year for the hotel and results exceeded expectations. Over the past twelve months we have seen an astounding 20% increase in gross operating profit (GOP) as well as a 16% increase in revenue per available room (RevPar)”, says General Manager
Alejandro Bernabé. “We also had many memorable milestone moments at the hotel, including the re-opening of Aspen by Kempinski, and this year we are creating some very exciting new restaurant concepts, including a Spanish Tapas Bar, which is scheduled to open in December. The restaurant and dining scene in Dubai is very competitive so it is very important to offer fresh, innovative and exciting experiences. Food and beverage is an important area of focus for us at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates and for the Kempinski Group in general”, Bernabé added.
The hotel will also embark on a room enhancement programme this year and is currently finalising the new interior design for its 393 rooms and suites, which will see not only a change in décor but also new and enhanced bathrooms and a number of technological innovations. Said Alejandro Bernabé, “Work on our guest rooms is likely to start early next year and the entire process will take about twelve months to complete. We have already started the enhancements of the public areas of the hotel, including the lobby, which is very exciting.”
