12 Hours in Dubai
This week we had a catch up with our Concierge team and they shared some tips with us on how you can discover Dubai in just 12 hours. Here’s the sample itinerary they have put together:
10 – 11 am: visit Ski Dubai and get up close and personal with the snow penquins; a true once in a lifetime experience!
11 am – 12.30 pm: head to the Gold and Spice Souks in Deira along the Dubai Creek and experience ‘old Dubai’ whilst shopping for jewelry, spices, fabrics and more
12.30 – 2 pm: take the abra (the traditional water taxi) across the Dubai Creek and head to Bur Dubai. And discover the early days of Dubai at the Dubai Museum followed by a visit to the oldest residential area in town, the Bastakiya District.
2 – 5 pm: take a leisurely drive over the Jumeirah Beach Road, along Dubai’s beautiful coast line and stop for a photo opportunity outside the magnificant Jumeirah Mosque. Then drive along to Souk Madinat Jumeirah for lunch in one of the many waterfront cafés and restaurants. After lunch, visit the architectual marvel, The Palm Jumeirah, which is just a ten-minute drive away..
5 – 7 pm: visit The Walk and The Beach at Jumeirah Beach Residence or take a tour of the Dubai Marina on one of the many yachts, or dinner cruises.
7 – 10 pm: Head to Dubai Mall and see the the world's largest choreographed fountains, The Dubai Fountain. Then end your day with the unique dining experience in Souk Al Bahar, whilst taking in the stunning views of Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai.
