    The Church of Our Lady

A memorial of war and a symbol of resurrection in the word’s fundamental sense, the Church of Our Lady rises in all its glory right above the city’s heart. Destroyed to the very core in WWII, the remains were left a blackened ruin until its restoration throughout the 1990’s. As homage to baroque architecture, the building was reconstructed stone by stone true to the original construction plans with any single fragment still utilisable being put back into its exact space.

The composition made entirely out of glass and steel is pointing again right at the intersection of tradition and innovation where today becomes yesterday and yesterday is turned into the future.
