October 9th, 2013: Kempinski Hotel Chongqing celebrated the 1st Oktoberfest at Paulaner Bräuhaus. Mr. Dany Luetzel the Executive Assistant Manager opened the evening to the invited guests with a traditional opening of the beer barrel and together shouting out loud “O’ zapft is” with our celebrated guests and Maximilian Schillik Assistant Front Office Manager. The glittering event was started with the IGGY STONE & DIE ALPENROCKER, which made a splashy appearance during the evening.

“As one of the oldest European hotel operators, we are proud to carry on this authentic German Oktoberfest and bringing this culture to Chongqing,” said Patrick Ritter, General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Chongqing. “The evening was a memorable event for all our guests and we look forward to doing this every year.”

The Paulaner Oktoberfest is held from October 9th to 12th and has created a vibrant atmosphere in Paulaner Bräuhaus for all our guests with a very special lucky draw and Bavarian games every evening. Over 1,000 liters of special Oktoberfest beer have been brewed for the event including BBQ and traditional German sausages and all the fixings served family style.
