Hailuogou Valley

Hailuoguo Valley is also known as No.1 Glacier. It is 14.7km long and is the longest of the 71 glaciers of Mt. Gongga.

Hailuogou Valley occupies a total area of 16 square kilometers, with the highest point at 6750m and the lowest at 2850m. It can be divided into 3 different parts; the firm basin, which covers the main part of the glacier, the 500 to 100m wide and 1080m high icefall, the biggest one in China, and finally the grand forest stretching over 6km, forming strange scenes of coexistence between ice and forest.
