One of the toughest cross country rallies starts and finishes in front of the superb Pyramids of Giza and covers around 1864 miles of incredibly challenging desert terrain.
The date of the Pharaohs Rally changes each year but usually place around the beginning of October with the actual race lasting for 6 days.
The competition often attracts well over 100 competitors from around the world, with cars, trucks, quads and motorcycles all taking part in this grueling race. During the race competitors will have to maneuver over some incredibly varied and difficult terrain which includes negotiating undulating rocky terrain, going up and down steep sand dunes and across vast baron areas of stunning desert.
From the Mediterranean to the Pyramids over 2.000 km of desert with 1.500 km of Specials Stages.
The 2015 Pharaohs Rally edition will cross astonishing landscapes, a concentration of a thousand memorable emotions in one week.
Many surprises in this edition in order to meet the desires of all; start on May 12 from El Alamein, a beautiful place on the Mediterranean at 100 km from Alexandria. The “Caribbean” beaches touching the turquoise sea will be the perfect view of the scrutineerings days.
The caravan will then head South to Baharija Oasis. This year only one “5 stars” bivouac which will enable us to reduce the transfers, as it is the tradition of the Pharaohs and guarantee a variety of terrain every day; dunes, pistes, fesh-fesh and stunning canyons.
After 5 terrific stages, the arrival is in the Pharaohs “home”; the Giza Pyramids are the prize after this long road and the many challenges.
Tradition and novelty. This is the 2015 Pharaohs!
