Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest's daily and ongoing efforts to improve socially responsible self-regulation for the benefit of its immediate community and the broader environment are part of the Hotel Management's fundamental objectives. Taking part in green projects demonstrates how five-star luxury, sustainability and environmentally sound practices work hand in hand:
Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest is pioneering by introducing an interactive iPad wine list in the Restaurant using the iRiS Sommelier software. Corvinus is the first to adopt the new technology in Hungary, while protecting the environment at the same time; a positive side effect is the reduction in use of paper in line with the hotel’s green policy, from November 2011.
A pioneer in the Hungarian luxury hotel segment as well the local hospitality industry, Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest has ordered Hungary's first public electric vehicle charging station. The operation of this environmentally friendly station is available to all e-mobiles, cars, scooters and bicycles from October 20, 2011.
The Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest has been integrating the latest green technologies in its effort to clean its expansive carpeted surfaces with a view to efficiency and environmental concerns. The Kempinski Corvinus is proud that courtesy of the latest cleaning technologies, it is not only able to manage maintenance at a high level for the benefit of its guests, but also able to introduce environmentally sound practices in its daily operation, from May 2008.
